Every Day?

Friday June 26, 2009
When first starting IVF, many women are surprised by the number of required office visits for monitoring, and may be tempted to skip a few. But these visits are incredibly important. The doctor needs to monitor your ovaries and blood hormone levels very carefully to make sure that you are responding appropriately to the medications. You will need to have your blood drawn and a transvaginal ultrasound done at each visit. While your office will direct you when to come in, every day while on medication is common. If for any reason you’re not able to attend a monitoring visit, please clear this with your doctor before skipping the appt.
