Did you know that February is heart disease awareness month? As women, this issue is near and dear to our hearts (no pun intended) as heart disease is the leading cause of death in women. Having PCOS can put you at an even greater risk of developing heart disease at some point in your life. Taking a few simple steps now, like watching your diet and adding exercise a few days a week, can help minimize complications later. Your blood pressure and cholesterol can be important indicators of health, so if you don't know yours, make an appointment to have a physical. Take charge of your health today!
