Use:

Weight-loss aid for people with a BMI greater than 30 (27 in women with contributing disorders like hypertension or diabetes).

Dose:

10mg each day, but may be adjusted up to 15mg or down to 5mg as necessary.

Side Effects:

Include headache, insomnia, constipation, dry mouth, nausea. Make sure to mention any side effects to your doctor, especially unexplained fatigue, heart palpitations, high blood pressure, changes in vision, chest pain and unusual bleeding or bruising.

Interactions:

This medication may interact with other medicines you are taking including over-the-counter cold medicines, antibiotics, other diet or weight-loss supplements and medications for depression or anxiety. Migraine medications in particular can cause severe side effects if taken in conjunction with Orlistat. It is important that you tell your doctor about any other medicines or supplements you may be taking. You can see the complete list at Drugs A-Z.

How to Take Meridia:

Take the pill exactly as prescribed by your doctor with a big glass of water. It may be taken with or without food.
