Let's face it. Summertime is never an easy time to lose weight from BBQs to baseball games to the hot weather keeping you from working out. You can do things to keep up the motivation and continue your summer weight loss.

1. Take advantage of the variety of summer produce.

With so many different kinds of fruits and vegetables coming into season, it is easy to incorporate many of them into your diet.

2. Grow your own vegetables.

Besides the fresh, intense taste of produce straight from your garden, you burn a lot of calories in tending to weeding and maintaining it. Even if you live in a small apartment, some cities have plots of land which you can use to plant some vegetables.

3. Take your workouts outdoors!

With the abundance of warm and sunny days, you don’t have to spend long days in the gym. Go for a run outside instead of on the treadmill, or bring some weights into your yard or the local park. The fresh air and change of scenery will likely provide extra motivation. Make sure to hydrate yourself well, especially in warm weather.

4. Take up a new sport.

Play softball or tennis or try swimming. Even if you’ll never make it as a professional, you’ll meet new friends and perhaps discover a new passion.

5. Drink lots of water!

It is easy to become dehydrated in the warm weather, especially when being active. Drinking lots of fluids will not only keep you hydrated, but can also help you eat less.
