Definition: Infertility is defined as difficulty in conceiving or becoming pregnant. It is usually advisable to get treatment for infertility if a woman over 35 has been trying for 6 months, or a woman under 35 has been trying for over a year. Infertility can be a result of either a male or female factor. In women, irregular periods due to not ovulating each month is the most common cause of infertility.
