Medications for PCOS

One of the most common questions women with PCOS ask me is what medication to take for PCOS. They also often ask if the pill they are taking is the best one out there for their situation. Well, my answer is always the same: it depends. A woman who is trying to get pregnant is looking for a much different medication then a woman who is looking for something to help her deal with acne or abnormal hair growth. There are a wide variety of options out of there, from pills to over the counter options to alternative treatments. Which one you use depends on what your goal is.

When it comes to PCOS, good information can be hard to come by. I learned a lot from the interview here about hormones for PCOS.

PCOS is a challenge and there’s no such thing as too much information!
