As you know, the decision to have surgery is not one to be made without serious consideration. It is important to know that there is little evidence of a surgical technique which can regularly and with few complications, reverse PCOS. In fact, surgery is no longer the recommended course of treatment for PCOS. So if a doctor suggests that you have surgery to correct your PCOS, it is especially important to reconsider using this physician in the future. Get a second, third or even fourth opinion and make sure to see a specialist who deals with the complex hormonal imbalances common in PCOS.
